Dr. Davis received her veterinary degree from Cornell University in 1999.  After practicing in California for 2 years, she returned to academia to complete a one year rotating internship at North Carolina State University.  She then completed a one year fellowship at the Comparative Orthopaedics Research Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Dr. Davis then returned to North Carolina State University to complete a 3 year small animal surgical residency.  Following her residency, she completed one year as a staff surgeon at the University of Florida.  She became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2007. Her special interests include pain management, peritonitis, and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Davis joined InTown Veterinary Group in August 2007.

  Aggressive and complete surgical excision is the treatment of choice for fibrosarcomas in cats. Thorough preoperative planning and meticulous surgical technique are necessary for optimal cosmetic, functional, and oncologic outcome. Perioperative pain management with an emphasis on preemptive analgesia and multimodal analgesia is essential to minimize patient morbidity.
