Muddy Creek provides specialized care for geriatric patients.  Older pets have special needs.  Diet, exercise, obesity management and preventative medicine are very important for the geriatric pet.


The term "geriatric" in veterinary medicine refers to the following age-ranges in the various breeds and species of pets:
  • Small dogs and cats older than 9
  • Medium to large dogs older than 7
  • Giant breed dogs older than 5

Geriatric pets have unique needs and are susceptible to many treatable diseases, ask your veterinarian about your concerns for your pet's continued wellbeing. In an effort to diagnose and treat these diseases early, we recommend comprehensive annual wellness testing, as well as targeted diagnostics as problems arise.
