Approach to the Itchy Pet
Presented by Jill L. Abraham, VMD, DACVD (Dermatology)
A two-hour review of the systemic approach to a patient presenting with pruritus.  Causes of pruritus, clinical work-up, and treatment recommendations will be presented.  Allergies, especially atopy, will be the main focus of the presentation.

Diagnosis, Management and End Organ Effects of Canine and Feline Hypertension

Early detection and treatment of hypertension can have important benefits for many organs in our canine and feline patients. Cohesive, logical treatment protocols with monitoring endpoints will be emphasized.

Veterinary Acupuncture

Presented by Beth S. Innis, DVM, CVA, CCRT (Acupuncture)
This two hour presentation will describe the neurophysiological basis of acupuncture, as well as touch on the more traditional model of acupuncture theory.  Current evidence-based research, common indications for acupuncture and what to expect in a course of treatment will all be addressed.

Hypoadrenal Disorders

This lecture will serve two purposes: 1) a catch up on hypoadrenocotricism (typical and atypical) and 2) learn about hypoadrenal disorders and critical care; what do we really know in veterinary medicine?  Discussion to follow on management of both disorders.
